ITBP Pharmacist Exam Syllabus And Pattern

This post provides pattern and syllabus for pharmacist posts in ITBP.  Indo Tibetan Border Police Force recruit pharmacists at assistant Sub Inspector post. Recently in 2018 it has announced vacancies for pharmacists.
The recruitment scheme is long. Exam will be conducted in three phases. In First phase ITBP will conduct document verification, PST and PET. In second phase written exam and third phase skill test.

First Phase OF ITBP Recruitment

PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST (PST)
The candidates who clear the documentation stage will undergo initial Physical Standard Test to conform to the
prescribed physical standards of height, weight and chest measurement (chest measurement not applicable for female candidates) Candidates found underweight/overweight shall not be debarred at PST stage they will be allowed to participate next stage of recruitment. Those candidates who do not meet the required physical measurements as applicable will be eliminated at this stage.
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET)
Those who qualify the Physical Standard Test (PST), will be subjected to physical efficiency test (PET). PET involve running, long jump and high jump.
No marks will be awarded for this test and it will be only qualifying in nature. Those who do not qualify will be
eliminated at this stage itself. Pregnancy at the time of race will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage.
Note:- PET will not be held for Ex- servicemen. However, Ex-servicemen will be required to pass the requisite PST, trade test, written test and medical examination.

This post is only about pattern and syllabus of exam. Now lets see the pattern and syllabus of written exam.

Second Phase: Written Exam

Maximum Marks: Written Exam will be of 200 marks
Type: will consist of OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a Blue or Black Ball pen only; or computer based objective type multiple choice question at the discretion of ITBP
Duration: One and half hour duration for objective type exam.
Language: The exam will be set in two languages Hindi and English
That much is confirmed about written exam.
Negative marking : Also the Expected Total number of question is expected to be 200 and possibly there will be a negative marking of one third marks for wrong answer.
Subjects: In written exam there will be technical and nontechnical part.
Qualifying marks: The minimum cut-off percentage of marks for qualifying in written exam will be as under:-
General and Ex-Servicemen – 35%
SC, ST & OBC – 33%

Non technical part will consist of 100 MCQs divided into sections namely General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General English/Hindi & General Reasoning. DO not forget to prepare general knowledge about ITBP and other paramedical forces.

The technical part will have questions from pharmacy Subjects.

Third Phase: Skill Test

Candidates who qualify written test will be allowed for Practical/skill test of respective cadre/trade. Skill tests for the Post of ASI (Pharmacist) will be conducted through appropriate Govt. Hospital/ Laboratories.
Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in written & practical test separately.
The minimum cut-off percentage of marks for qualifying in practical test will be as under:
General and Ex-Servicemen – 35%
SC, ST & OBC-  33%
Merit list in each category namely UR, SC, ST, OBC and Ex- servicemen will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written test and practical/skill test. On the basis of this merit the candidates shall be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination as per the cadre and category- wise vacancies.
