Open Letter To Director AIIMS Rishikesh, Regarding Unethical Recruitment Of Dispensing Attendants

To,
The Director,
AIIMS Rishikesh
Respected Sir,

Pharmagang.com hereby like to draw your kind attention towards recent advertisement published in February 2019 for filling the group A,B,C vacancies.
In that notification AIIMS Rishikesh has invited applications from D. pharm registered pharmacist but as dispensing attendants.

This notification completely ignores the recruitment rules and pay scales recommended by seventh pay commission and ministry of health and family welfare itself.

First let’s see a analogy. Could AIIMS ever think of inviting application for prescription attendants instead of medical officers and give them lesser pay scale while floating the recommended recruitment rules ?

Dispensing attendant is a derogatory term being used for pharmacist. There is no such post under any law like drugs and cosmetics act, pharmacy practice regulations etc. Also please refer the pharmacy practice regulations. Responsibility of a registered pharmacist is not limited to handing out a drug during dispensing. It includes prescription evaluation, patient counselling etc. during dispensing.

Further, notification do not seek any experience from diploma holders and do not invites application from pharmacy degree pharmacists.

Kindly look into the matter . We also request you to implement pharmacy practice rules 2015 and other drug laws in AIIMS Rishikesh in the best interest of patients.

Pharmacist community will be grateful for prompt justice.

Thankyou,
Regards,

  1. @ Pharmgang
Have you posted this letter in writing or written only on your website?
If you have written only on your website, it will not serve the purpose. Also, govt. organization never pay heeds to these letters, generally these needs to be fought in court.

  2. Thanks. That is good. In govt. organizations, written communications have more value because it is recorded in diary and dispatch, they may not acknowledge e-mail. The language of this letter is little offensive, these needs to be written in neutral language, without showing any apparent emotions. While writing letters, it is always better to give screenshot of guidelines/acts where violation occurs.
Sadly PCI is a powerless organization in terms of any action or orders on recruitment of State/central govt.
    Regards,
    Kapil
